Week 14 City as Site Part 5

One thing I want to mention here is what I am going to do in the future.

I am taking three classes this semester, and through them I found myself very interested in food and culture. In this class Ideation&Prototyping, I was able to work on food in terms of IDM community and health, by learning many different methods/concepts and ideation. In Entrepreneurship class, I also worked on food in terms of business and learn how to make something sustainable and scalable (see AuthenticEat). Lastly, Designing Other Worlds class gave a lot of insights about understanding different cultures and designing them.

I am happy to continue food project somehow. There are many things I want to do: grow mushrooms and vegetables, do fermentation, make natto, beer/sake making, community building and cultural interaction through food, etc. I will try to build a student voluntary group, maybe name it IDM Kitchen Lab, and keep doing something fun!
